last year

Kimbolton 2009 – Nearly £20k to good causes.

Last year the Fayre got off to a great start, it was a bright and sunny Sunday morning, but the forecast was a bit iffy!

As it turned out the forecasters were right and the afternoon saw some heavy rain but not before everyone had seen some great events in the ring and had a chance to view the 700 plus cars on display.

The pace setters display was even more spectacular than previous years and this time we did manage to get some good photos.

The children just loved the David Seamark sheep dog display, and the fact that a group of them were invited to join the dogs in the ring made it an event to remember for many of them.

Seeing the huge shire horses close up is a great experience and the skill of these riders is something to behold. This year they put on the best display we have ever seen.

There is always an award for the best club display and this year it was a really close call but the Morgan club just made it with not only a great line up of cars but also some excellent period costume

Then the rain came...

Despite the poor weather we still raised nearly £20,000 for the nominated Childrens Charities.

The beer tent was very busy and the selection of real ales was amazing, this year promises to be even better and fingers crossed, we will have the sunshine that has always been the hallmark of a great family day at Kimbolton.

Finally I leave you with one of my favourites at the fayre in 2009 it was certainly the oldest!
